It has a dual quad setup, Holly 650's, on an original Ford 427 intake manifold. With the help of a performance cam and some nice exhaust the engine puts out 400 horse power.

I am in the 4th year of restoration and had to replace the floor pans, lower quarters, all of the trunk floor, tail light panel, and driver door. I believe the finished product will be worth all of the sweat equity. I have done everything myself so far except for the machine work on the engine. The engine is not installed yet in these pictures as I am still searching for the engine plates that bolt to the block.

I have had the car over 20 yrs and was garaged until the last 3 yrs. The car is red it was painted that color when I bought it. I paid only $2,700. I have redone the suspension brakes and new gas tank. I pulled the original  390 4V motor and C6 transmission out and put a 351 Cleveland and FMX transmission in the car. I just finished a ground up restoration on a previously restored rust free Mach 1. This was the most solid car I have seen and recently received the Marti Report indicating the car was originally shipped to a dealer in Heber Springs, Arkansas. It is a numbers matching car in a rare color combination. It is a Raven Black car with a white deluxe interior that has the even rarer teak wood inserts (vs. the darker walnut trim seen on most Mach 1's). The car has the manual 4-speed gearbox and 9" rear end.

According to the Marti Report, only 9,440 Sports roof cars came with the 390 engine and of those, only 3,891 had the 4-speed gearbox installed. My car is one of only 17 made with this color combination and the 390 engine.
